A Foundational Workshop in Digital Photography

The Foundational Workshop in Digital Photography provides a mixture of classroom based and practical lessons in a relaxed atmosphere!

If you are a beginner/novice, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge to take professional looking images. You will learn all the basics of photography and your gear, including:

• The different parts of a camera
• How the parts function in relation to each other
• How to take control of camera settings
• The art of light - dynamic range, exposure, light balancing, reading the camera histogram
• Composition, perspective and colours
• Techniques that will help you in different light situations

The Workshop consists of 3 sessions that are presented over a 2 week period:

• 2 x Weekday evenings from 18h30-21h30
• 1 x Saturday morning session/outing from 8h30-12h30
• An electronic copy of "A Foundational Course in Digital Photography"

Equipment required:

• DSLR camera
• Tripod

After this workshop you will have the knowledge to take professional looking images.
All workshops are facilitated by Jaco from JVW Photography.

A Digital Image Processing Workshop

This Workshop consists of one weekday session and is aimed at image processing (editing):

• 1 x Evening class from 18H30-22h00
• Workflow
• Image processing techniques
• Photoshop effects and enhancements
• Photoshop tutorials
• File formats and resizing

Equipment required:

• A PC/Notebook
• A copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements
